Smart home automation installation

This traditional Georgian house was built in 1880, and has undergone a full refurbishment in 1984. The new owner wanted it to bring this magnificent property into the 21st century by using the latest smart home automation technology the market had to offer. This incorporated a selection of Crestron smart lighting control, smart heating control, smart security, alarm control and smart cooling control. The extensive smart home audiovisual integration incorporated the use of 7 audio and video zones to include the jacuzzi room in which an Aqua Vision 4k TV was been installed, with B&W ceiling speakers specifically designed for humid applications and areas.

The high fidelity of the rooms in the house came from the installation of 9 Pioneer amplifiers for the key areas such as in the lounge and the piano room, where the free-standing high-fidelity surround system speakers by B&W were chosen to complement the installation, giving the clients the acoustic level, they asked for after bearing in mind that the owner himself is a musician, and has an ear for the right tones and high fidelity. The smart Coolmaster controller has been interfaced with Crestron to give access to the AC installation throughout the entire house to include the jacuzzi room and the conservatory. Eg. if the sun shines during summer and by the preset selected by the client, the AC will automatically come on to keep those areas cool and ready to be used when needed.

The high-resolution CCTV cameras at night can auto-zoom and send notifications through Crestron touch panels that have been installed in key areas of the house, such as the main landing on ground, first and second floors as well as the family room and kitchen area. This is also connected to the notification system of the cameras and external Texecom alarm giving enough time for the user to react in case of an intrusion. The system is entirely programmed and integrated with Amazon Alexa, with voice-activated commands. This state-of-the-art technology allows for the total control of all functions, from heating, cooling, lighting and AV control. Through annual updates, Intellicasa is able to ensure that this smart home technology is constantly updated to the users’ needs.
