Taikoo Shing Estate - Hong Kong
Crestron smart home solution
IntelliCasa has finished another project in the Far East, this time at Taikoo Shing Estate, which provides a modern and inspirational environment for global corporations in east Hong Kong Island. Our experts remotely designed and developed a complete Crestron smart home automation solution for a homeowner living in one of Hong Kong's most affluent neighbourhoods. The challenge was to provide the same level of quality and flawless functioning of the smart home system that customers gain in the UK while adapting to cultural differences and aesthetics of the foreign country.
Another component of this project was to comply with the local national standards for electrical installations and the requirements of the local architect, as well as to overcome any obstacles in the way.
IntelliCasa installed the powerful Crestron CP4-R Series 4 controller, which delivers remarkable speed and performance and provides a secure, high-performance, rack-mountable interface for use with the Crestron Home operating system. Crestron Home delivers the full potential of a smart home by providing a simple and clean user interface with sophisticated page layouts, fluid dynamic room controls and symbols, and additional capabilities like as multi-home support, preferences, personalised access, room image customization, and more.
Furthermore, the Crestron DM-NAX, a next-generation AudiooverIP (AoIP) amplifier, was installed in the residence, allowing total freedom to stream different content in each room. The set also contained two TSW-1070 Crestron 10.1 in. Wall Mount touch panels for the user to interact with the system seamlessly, nine Crestron Cameo C2NI-CB lighting keypads that offer extensive control capability in a single-gang with customised engraved buttons, two pairs of Saros IC6T 2-Way In-Ceiling speakers in each of the rooms designed to deliver excellent speech intelligibility and full, rich music reproduction, and roller blinds set up if the client wants to add it in the future. The project also included a Pioneer amplifier and a high definition 8K, 70' inches Samsung TV on the wall. The system was also connected to the building management system allowing the client to communicate directly with the building and have complete control over HVAC. A local technical team appointed by the UK mother company proceeded with the installation of wiring and components following rigorous training.
