In late February of 2018, the Head of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at University College London invited IntelliCasa CEO, Elie Kfoury, to become a new member of the Industry Advisory Board.
The Industry Advisory Board previously relied on 6 members representing a broad mix of leaders from different industries including the Senior Vice President of Cisco Systems and the Director of the optical components company Oclaro, however, Sarah Spurgeon, Head of the Department, was keen to grow and expand the advisory board to better reflect the diversity of their discipline.
The raison d’etre of this board is to push the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering of UCL in new directions in both research and teaching, building on long established links with industry whilst taking on board the informed advice from the Board members on strategic concerns and issues likely to affect the future of the department such as new trends in technology and necessary skills that their teaching should reflect.
The board meets formally once a year to discuss topics such as new corporate partnerships, maximisation of industry engagement, professional development and the growth and strategic ambitions of the department.
We would like to congratulate Mr. Kfoury on achieving this role that will help shape the future research and teaching at UCL.
