After an initial successful collaboration throughout 2017, IntelliCasa Directors Elie Kfoury and Konstantinos Karagiannis returned in February 2018 to the Polytech Annecy-Chambéry of the University of Savoie in Mont Blanc, France to give a new, interesting presentation about Home Automation and Building Management Systems (BMS), focusing this time on the hot topics of the Internet of Things (IoT) and BMS Cyber Security.
In an amphitheater full of engineering students from the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department of the Polytech Annecy-Chambery, founding CEO Elie Kfoury commenced with a short presentation about the history of IntelliCasa and the services we provide. This was followed by a detailed exposition of the main areas of focus of the Home Automation field and the benefits it can bring to our daily lives. Konstantinos Karagiannis then gave a thorough talk about Building Automation and Energy Management, pinpointing the topic of Cyber threats and the measures that can be taken to prevent Cyber-attacks in Building Management Systems.
Last but not least, Elie Kfoury finalized the presentation discussing the use and resources of the Internet of Things and the potential market growth that has been predicted for the foreseeable future. The presentation ended with an array of questions from the enthusiastic students who attended.
